Historic Savannah, Georgia
We arrived in Savannah Monday afternoon, after another thankfully uneventful drive from North Carolina. We drove through South Carolina, (actually I drove again, see picture below 😎), pulled into another KOA, and set up camp. This is a huge campground, with a lake full of swans, vultures, some Canadian geese, who haven't yet made it to their winter destination, and had to keep our eyes open for alligators...nope didn't see any...PHEW!!! We went into town, walked around River Street, in and out of the many shops, and grabbed some dinner at Barracuda Bob's. I wanted some crab legs for my birthday, and I ate an entire pound of them, by myself!!! They were absolutely delicious. Oh, and the alligator tails we ate for an appetizer, also was amazing. However, it was fried, so could it really have been bad?? Today, we spent the afternoon (it was a beautiful 68 degrees) like true tourists. We went back to downtown Savannah, walked around a bit, then had some lunch at an adorable place called The Treylor Park, an absolutely wonderful find thanks to YELP....Very yummy!!! We then took a trolley tour around town. We saw and heard about so much of the history and had an absolute ball. Back to camp for some dinner, a campfire, and some relaxation. Tomorrow morning we hit the road, headed to our next stop...Tallahassee, Florida. Until next time, we are "Livin' the Dream".....
Love you all,
