Still in Texas....Who knew this state was so darn BIG?!?!

Hello from Texas....yet again! Seriously, I had no idea how big this state was!!! We are almost at the end of our stay in "The Lone Star State" and it is been pretty awesome. We left San Antonio on Saturday morning, and headed about 300 miles to Fort Stockton, Texas, for a quick overnight stay. The town itself is a "one horse town", so not much for us to do there. The drive was beautiful, mountains and desert on both sides of the road, but that was it. The gas station and rest areas (picnic areas as they call them) were roughly 100 miles away from each other.😩

We arrived in Anthony, Texas (just outside the hustle and bustle of El Paso) on Sunday afternoon. The Campground we are in is much different than we are used to...wide open space with gravel roads and has the feeling of a parking lot, but the views are incredible!!! We've got hills and mountains on either side, Mexico skyline in one direction and New Mexico in another direction. We've been laying low, just relaxing, taking it easy, and enjoying every second. Today we went to Whoopee Antique Mall-advertised as the largest antique mall in the southwest. It definitely lived up to its claim!!! The place was huge, with so much stuff (mostly other people's junk) but we had fun exploring.😁

We've continued to light our Hanukkah candles while seeing some beautiful sunsets. The weather has been a bit chilly, and cloudy, but they are sending us off with a beautiful sunny day we had today.

Greg is doing much better (still not 100% in my eyes), but getting better still each day. We had a followup with a doctor in San Antonio, and he gave us the all clear to again continue on our journey.

Tomorrow morning we hit the road early, leave Texas, drive through New Mexico, and head to our next stop in Tuscon, Arizona. We are both getting ready and very excited to see and spend time with a whole bunch of Greg's family and friends while in Arizona. We will be in some part of THAT state until after New Years...Until next time...

We love and miss you all!!
The mountains along I-10

Beautiful hills (Sierra Blanca) and a long freight train (I counted over 100 cars!!)

The adventurous couple

I thought this was hysterical!!

Is it a palm tree?!? Nope, it's a cell phone tower!! Haha

Ran into one of my favorite ladies!!!
