Christmas Time...In the Desert!!⛄

First things first... Greg and I wish you all a very, happy and Merry Christmas!!! Hoping every one of you has a fabulous holiday and that you share it with everyone AND everything you love!!!! We'll be with a small fraction of Greg's VERY large family later today to celebrate and enjoy the love too.

Now, back to our journey😃...We are at our second stop here in Arizona. We arrived in Tuscon, Arizona last Wednesday, after a quick 5-hour drive from Texas. The landscape is absolutely beautiful!!! I truly can not get enough of it!!! It was still a bit chilly in Tuscon, so exploring was put on hold for a bit. It was too windy to grill one night, so we ventured into the "city" for some dinner at a local brewery. We did the "touristy" thing the next day (it was a little warmer at 54*), drove up the beautiful mountainside to "Old Tuscon". It's an old movie studio, where some of our favorite shows/films were made...Bonanza, Little House on the Praire, several John Wayne movies too. It was a lot of fun walking around, and then...Santa arrived!!! We then went to see a beautiful old Mission, after stopping at a local Casino😏. We ended the day with some dinner back at the campground, 'cowboy style' as Greg says.

The next day was moving day, and after packing up, hitching up, we headed for a short 2-hour drive towards Phoenix. On the way to the campground, we stopped in Apache Junction to visit Aunt Lynn and Uncle Tony. It was a short visit, as we interrupted some fancy baking being done by Aunt Lynn and cousin Victoria... can't wait to taste the fruits of their labor. On to the campsite, to set up and then drive to the Ammaccapane's...a restaurant/bar owned by Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Ralph. We visited with them and cousin Dina for a bit got some yummy lunch, and then back to meet Uncle Tony and Aunt Lynn for some live music....Phew!! It was a long, busy but wonderful day!!

Yesterday, Christmas Eve day, we were able to go to The Arizona Cardinals VS The NY Giants game, my first NFL game...it was a lot of fun, even though the game wasn't very exciting. On the way to the stadium (in Goodyear, AZ) we visited Bernie and Janice, some longtime friends Greg hasn't seen in a while. It was a short visit but lovely with a lot of laughs!! After the game, it was time to head over to Cousin Jackie's for Christmas Eve get together. It was a beautiful night and we very much enjoyed our visit with everyone (Aunt Lynn, Uncle Tony, Jackie and Jorge, Kathy, Jacqueline and John, Peter, Crystal and Sebastian, Amanda and little Jay, Shayla, Vanessa, Victoria, Anthony, and several puppies-hope I didn't miss anyone😕....remember that's only PART of the family LOL). Today, Christmas Day we are heading over to Aunt Lynn and Uncle Tony's along with the above-mentioned clan to celebrate the holiday. We hope you all enjoy the day as much as we will!!

Love you all!!!
