Hello from Sunny San Diego!!!
We arrived in Vista, California, about 30 miles north of San Diego late last week. As this will be our "home" for the next 2 weeks, we are completely set up and settled in...it's nice to stay put for a little while. We have been quite fortunate with the weather the last few days...Daytime high's are in the upper 60s, a little cooler once the sun goes down.
The last couple days we have met up with and spent time with my daughter Mira (my mini-me some people say😀). Unfortunately, she's working a lot, but that hasn't stopped me from seeing her. We've gone to several of our favorite places already...The Cheesecake Factory, Menchie's (a wonderful frozen yogurt place), and even Blaze Pizza where she works. The visiting, talking, and laughing (giggling actually), all just fall right into place at the exact spot we left off the time before.
Greg and I went in the hot tub ("the spa" they call it😲) this morning, before tinkering and finishing up some school work. This afternoon, we decided to take a drive down to the beach, to watch the sunset and grab some dinner. The Oceanside Pier was bustling for a Sunday evening, and we enjoyed a yummy dinner (of course thanks to YELP😉) while watching the beautiful sky turn bright colors as the sun went down.
The next few days are still being planned, as we decide what to do, what to see, where to explore. One thing for sure is there will be plenty of celebrating in the upcoming days, as Mira's 21st birthday approaches. Debbie and Jeff (my sister and brother-in-law) are coming from Denver this weekend to join in the festivities.
