Breaking Bad Country....AWESOME!!!

Image
We have spent the last week touring and exploring New Mexico. Most of our time was spent in Albuquerque, which for all our fellow Breaking Bad fanatics, is awesome!!! We enjoyed a lovely visit with Tony and Liz, as they stayed with us in the camper during our week long stay at The Enchanted Hills Campground, just outside Albuquerque. Greg and I took a ride to Old Town Albuquerque early in the week, walked around the many shops, including The Candy Lady Shop- the woman who created the "crystal blue meth" for the Breaking Bad Series...we even ran into some special friends (see pic below๐Ÿ˜‰).  After Tony and Liz arrived, it was time for the real touristy adventure to begin. Yes, I still managed to find time to do my school work...Phew!!! We took a ride, about an hour away to Old Town Santa Fe. It was a lovely old town, filled with history and beautiful architecture. A beautiful old church, St. Francis of Assisi, stood tall in the center of town. More shops to peruse, and eve...

Cheers from The Land of Enchantment

Hello to all our friends and family!!! We have been on the road for roughly 2 1/2 months now. While we are having an absolute blast exploring, visiting family all over, and relaxing, once in a while a little bit of home-sickness swarms over us. Unfortunately, while we were at Jacqueline and John's wedding last week, someone tried to break into the truck. Thankfully, they were unsuccessful, and the only damage was the lock on the door, which eventually messed up the vehicle's computer system (gotta love technology!!). There was a Dodge dealer near by, so we made an appointment to have it repaired the next day. That being said, we were unable to hit the road as planned. While we called around loo...

Back in Apache Junction,AZ...our home away from home!

After a very long day of traveling from Southern California, 400+ miles, roughly 8 hours on the road, we arrived safely  Wednesday evening at the KOA in Apache Junction, AZ...our 3rd time here. As we have become regulars at this campground, we were greeted and escorted to the site of our new "home" for the next week. We unhitched, unpacked, and set up camp in record time, as we were both exhausted and wanted to relax. The fish I had taken out of the freezer that morning for dinner didn't thaw out๐Ÿ˜•, so we took the opportunity to head to The Handlebar Pub & Grill, for a quick and delicious meal as we sat in their outdoor patio, before settling in for the night. The last few days have been spent tinkering, getting a jump on my school work and visiting with family. The highlight of our time here in Arizona (this time around) was attending cousin Jacqueline and John's wedding!! They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in a New York style venue, with unique ...
