To the Far West we go...and back...

Hello everyone! Since our last post (I know way back when), we've traveled through Oregon, all across Northern California, mozied our way through Nevada and have landed in Arizona. This warm and beautiful state will be our home for the next 6 weeks or so. Let me try to fill in the blanks a little bit.... We had a great time in Oregon and spending time with Mar once the band was finished touring. We were in a quaint little town just along the water. We enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets we've seen yet!  We kind of blew through California, stopping in San Fransisco, Petaluma, and... Our dear friends Frankie and Tina flew out to hang with us for a little over a week and got to see "how the other side lives". We had a blast sightseeing and enjoying lots of good food (Yelp wins again!!!) and shared lots of laughs. Once it was time to hit the road, we said our goodbyes and passed them off to spend time with Crazy Nick and adorable Carla. We left California ju...

Moving Right Along....

The View from Chez Mastrorocco Hello all!! It's hard to believe we've been on the road for 2 months already. We've been busy relaxing and exploring as we travel from one destination to the next. We have also been busy spending wonderful times with family, friends, and with some new friends, we've made along the way! I know it's been a while since our last post. I have a lot to fill you in on, but I promise to make it exciting to read 😀 while keeping it brief. After our long, busy stay in Colorado visiting with family (who we miss terribly😢), we packed up the camper, jumped in the truck and hit the road. Next stop...Vernal. Yes, Vernal Utah (know what I mean?) about 3 hours north of Salt Lake City. It was a beautiful drive through the high desert mountains while we stayed in the air-conditioned truck, as it was between 97-103 degrees outside! Our campsite was up on a secluded ridge overlooking the valley below and the stars at night were amazi...

COLORful Colorado!!!!

Hello everyone!!! We have spent the last 2 glorious weeks in beautiful but VERY hot Colorado. Our time was spent relaxing and spending a lot of quality time with our family out there. We enjoyed lots of hours with our adorable nephew, Prince Jonah, Debbie and Jeff (more on that in a bit). We took in a Rockies game at Coors Field on a beautiful sunny afternoon. And we even went to an amazing Ben Harper concert opened by Trombone Shorty and Jessi Wilson  at The Mission Ballroom, an exciting new venue in downtown Denver. Our first stop was at Cherry Creek State Park just outside of Denver, for a couple of days. Greg and I thought it would be a blast to get everyone together our first weekend back in Colorado. We excitedly scheduled a fun family outing for a few hours that first Sunday afternoon, to sail on a pontoon boat around the lake. Unfortunately, a storm rolled in and we had to cancel. Resourceful as our family is, we headed to a Hanger 101, for an afternoon of great fu...

Another few States traveled...

Hello everyone! Since our last post, we have stayed in Wisconsin...the fabulous cheese state and the land of delicious ice cream, Iowa..., and Kansas...beautiful but very aggressive flies! Our first stop in Wisconsin was at a lovely county park in the middle of nowhere. We had to wait out a pretty powerful storm one evening, but we were safe and sound in our home on wheels. Before the skies turned dark, we took a walk along the jetties poking out into Green Bay which leads into the wonderful Lake Michigan. It truly was a beautiful sight to see. Once the sun came up the next morning it was time to hit the road. Our next stop, La Crosse, Wisconsin was just a short drive west to the Pettibone RV Resort. It wasn't much of a resort, but it was gorgeous none the less. It is situated on a small island surrounded by the mighty Mississippi. I had a beautiful backdrop of the majestic flowing river as I sat at the new table my husband built, tackling schoolwork. We decided to take a wa...

In the Beginning...

Hello, everybody!! Well, we've been on the road just over a week and have already traveled through 3 states. Although we have covered a lot of ground, there is not much excitement going on yet. It takes us a few days to get acclimated and into our easy flowing routine, but we know we will get there soon enough. Our first stop was at a KOA in New Colombia, Pennsylvania for a quick two-night stay. The weather was much like it was back home...HOT AND HUMID, with some pop-up storms mixed in. The unbearable weather stayed with us until we reached our next stop in Lake Berlin, Ohio. It finally broke on Saturday, our last day in the Buckeye state. Our last night in Ohio was spent hanging out and laughing with some new friends, as we enjoyed a lovely campfire under the finally rain-free and mostly cloud-free sky. Sunday morning was moving day, so we jumped in the truck and continued heading West. Our next destination was Bishop Lake State Campground in the beautiful town of Brighton, ...
